Synthesis of derivatives of diketopyrrolopyrrole for its study in Fission Singlet and its application in Solar Cells

Resumen

Increased energy consumption and the scarcity of fossil resources have led to the development of cleaner and sustainable new energy alternatives that met the needs of today’s society. The solar cells based on organic materials have been studied due to their low cost, sustainable capacity and be structurally flexible. In addition the organic compound can be chemically modified to increase solubility in organic solvents and to absorb better in the emission spectrum of the sun.

Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) pigments, Figure 1, have been studied in plastics, paints since it was developed. Nowadays, these types of compounds have been exploited in several areas, such as the optical-electronic due to its fluorescent properties, good charge mobility, chemical versatility and high stability.

In this work, we propose to develop different electron acceptor-donor- acceptor DPP derivatives composed of two DPP units (electron acceptor) bonded to different linkers (electron donor) to be components of different solar cells architectures, Figure 2.
